Ray's the Classics

Posted by Jason, Jul 29, 2006

Ray's the Classics should be opening soon. How do I know?

I don't. At least not for sure. But I did go to one of the DR.com sneak peak dinners that Mr. Landrum had. The place MUST be close to opening. I mean, they were serving a complete dinner! Although I won't write anything about what was served that night, I will say this...

We're in for a great restaurant in Silver Spring! If a soft opening was that good, it going to be a great restaurant when it finally opens.

FYI, Ray's the Classics is now open.

My husband and I had a fabulous dinner at Ray's The Classics last night. We were accompanied by our unusually well-behaved 3 year old. The food was phenomenal and the service was top notch. The maitre d' handled the presence of our 3 year old with grace and humor, making the entire experience positive and memorable. Kudos to the chef for the proscuitto/mission fig/goat cheese mousse appetizer and the to-die-for cheddar and sausage biscuits! The Chateaubriand rivaled anything I've had anywhere. All the sides were spectacular, and reasonably priced. Finally, an exceptional dining destination in downtown Silver Spring. Hurry up and make your reservations...this place is going to be very hot, very soon! Enjoy!
