Wow, did the year fly by. I feel like it was just yesterday that I did the post for the last D.C. Restaurant Week and here we are with the New Year right upon us.
D.C. Restaurant Week will be Monday January 8 through Sunday January 14. I confirmed with Washington.org today and their web site should be updated by next week with the full list of participating restaurants, so stay tuned for updates.
I'm hoping to find the time to do my usual recommendations post soon after that comes out, but if you want to make a reservation sooner rather than later, refer to my post from the last D.C. Restaurant Week. Just make sure you check that they are participating again.
Update: The Washington.org site has updated the list of participating restaurants, which is really no different than previous Restaurant Weeks. New restaurants on the list this year include Farrah Olivia, Indigo Landing, Lia's, and PS 7's so you'll probably want to book them first as most people want to try them. Now that the list is up, I'll be updating this post with as many menus as I can track down. Stay tuned...
Update: Below are the restaurants that have their menus posted online or have sent me their menus. As usual, Dino is first on the draw and has sent me their menu.

Ceiba. DC Coast, Acadiana, Ten Pehn
Lunch and Dinner
Ceiba, as well as the other restaurants that are part of the Passion Food restaurant group (Acadiana, DC Coast, Ten Pehn) always offer a good majority of their menu during restaurant week. A few things are held off, but the resulting menu usually gives a good feel for what the normal experience is at the restaurant.
Circle Bistro, Dish, Notti Bianche
Lunch and Dinner
Circle Bistro is one of my favorite restaurants in the city, and usually offers their full menu for DC Restaurant Week as do it's sister restaurants, Dish and Notti Bianche. The latest copy of their menus can be found here, here, and here.
Colvin Run Tavern
Lunch and Dinner
Colvin Run Tavern is offering the Restaurant Week special for the entire month of January. So if I were someone that wanted to try Colvin Run Tavern, I might skip Restaurant Week, and go later in the month...They usually offer a very significant portion of their regular menu.
Corduroy
Lunch and Dinner
Corduroy always offers their full menu for Restaurant Week with a couple upcharges for the more expensive items. This is definitely a must for the first time Restaurant Week diner. I've always had good experiences at Corduroy during restaurant week.

Tabard Inn
Lunch and Dinner
I like Tabard in a lot. Their menu is great for taking visiting relatives since it has a wide variety of food to please everyone and it's adventurous at the same time. Tabard Inn usually offers a good portion of their menu for Restaurant Week and I highly recommend it.
Taberna del Alabardero
Lunch and Dinner
Taberna's Restaurant week menu can be found here.
Tosca
Dinner Only
In past Restaurant Weeks, Tosca has always had their full menu available. My suspicion is that they will be doing the same thing this year, but you should call and check.
Viridian
Dinner Only
Viridian usually offers their full menu for Restaurant Week and it's a pretty good deal. Plus, they have a new chef and I'm sure they'll be trying to make a good impression on the new diners. I was pretty surprised at how good the service was at Viridian during the last Restaurant Week.

OK. The list of restaurants participating in Restaurant Week is up again and the usual restaurants are participating. 1789, which is usually one of the more popular choices for Restaurant Week, is NOT participating, although with a new chef and a regular pre-theater menu, I'm not surprised they bowed out.
I haven't received many responses to my inquiries yet, but when I do, I'll start posting what the restaurants are offering. If you can't wait to make your reservations, then I'd suggest that you go with one of these suggestions.
Corduroy
Corduroy is one of my favorite restaurants in the city due to their superior service, food, and wine. They always offer their full menu during Restaurant Week with a few upcharges, and with most entrees between $20 and $30, Restaurant Week makes Corduroy a very good deal.
Vidalia
Vidalia offers most of their regular menu for Restaurant Week. Their food is exceptional, and their wine list even better.
Ristorante Tosca
Tosca is probably one of the better and more expensive Italian restaurants in the city which makes it a great deal during Restaurant Week.
Kinkeads
Kinkeads doesn't normally offer dinner service as part of their Restaurant Week offering. Since this is likely not to occur again, I'd take advantage of this while you can.
Also, here are some rules/tips for Restaurant Week for you newbies out there.
This also could be a good time to go to one of those restaurants that ISN'T participating in Restaurant Week. Everyone is crowding into restaurants that ARE participating, which makes it easier to get a reservation at places like Komi or Palena. Just a thought.
Here is the information on menus for Restaurant Week that I have:
100 King

The Caucus Room
Dino - Through the 19th
21P - Extending for Dinner only.
If anyone out there knows of other DC restaurants that are extending Restaurant Week, please leave a comment, and I will add it to the list. I am still getting responses from restaurants that I've emailed and I will add them as they come in as well.
DC Restaurant Week is scheduled for January 9th - 15th. As usual, lunch will be $20.06 and dinner is $30.06. I think this time, I'm not going to bother listing ALL of the participating restaurants here since you can see the complete list of restaurants at the washington.org web site.
I'm going to call or email as many of them as possible and as I get information from them I'll fill in the list below with their offerings. Usually, I'm not done until the week before, because many restaurants don't finalize their menus until then.
Some tips:
1) Make a reservation early.
2) Make sure you confirm with the restaurant when you make the reservation that they are participating in Restaurant Week. Some restaurants only participate for lunch or dinner so double check when you make a reservation for lunch of dinner.
3) Stick with restaurant that offers their regular, full or partial menu. Lot's of restaurants will only offer a "special" menu that isn't anything they normally serve, which completely defeats the purpose of Restaurant Week. This gets you in the door, and then you order off their real menu.
4) If OpenTable shows that a restaurant is completely booked, it doesn't mean that the restaurant doesn't have any reservations left. Call the restaurant directly to double check.

I went to Circle Bistro tonight and everything was wonderful. I'd recommend NOT going with the wine pairing though, because the staff isn't used to doing wine pairings, and their timing of when they bring out the glasses of wine is way off. I started with the goat cheese fritter with marinated beets -- a pretty basic dish, but nonetheless very tasty. Amy didn't order the Restaurant Week menu, but instead opted for some gazpacho and salad. The gazpacho was a "Rockin" gazpacho with crab meat and heirloom tomatoes -- the cold soup had a a slightly acidic start and a nice spicy kick towards the end of each taste. The desserts on the Restaurant Week menu weren't anything to cry wolf about. While they tasted good, I felt myself wishing I'd ordered Circle Bistro's warm madelines off their regular menu.
Wed night, I went to Vidalia which was good but far from mind blowing. I mean, nothing we had there was bad, but I wondered if it would be worth paying their normal prices for. I'd have to try Vidalia some other time besides Restaurant Week to make a complete judgement.
Finally, Bombay Club was our destination Monday. I actually rather liked the dress code -- it gave me a chance to wear that sport coat that I hadn't taken out of the closet all year. I really liked my lamb saag (lamb with spinach curry).
From the comments on my main Restaurant Week post, it looks like pretty much everyone who's going to Corduroy is enjoying it, which I'm happy to hear. Anyone who couldn't get a reservation this week should keep in mind that they can go next week and get the same Restaurant Week deal.
Happy Restaurant Week dining everyone!

OK, so I'll admit I'm a little behind on this one, but come on -- Why did Bethesda have to go an have their own Restaurant Week?! In case you haven't heard about it, it started TODAY and runs through July 24th. Participating restaurants will be offering a 2-course lunch for $10 or a 3-course dinner for $18 or $25. Below is the list of participating restaurants. Of the ones in the list, I'd try Passage to India, since Passage to India is one of my favorite Indian restaurants in the area. Faryab is also excellent Afghan food -- I visited Faryab back in March and had a wonderful time. Other than that, I had a pretty decent tasting of the Irish food at Ri-Ra Irish Restaurant and Pub back in October when I went to Taste of Bethesda, but I've never been to the restaurant in person.
