I used to live in PA (north of Philly). Things were much worse there. You can't find an ehtnic restaurant for the life of you. There is some good dining, you just have to search really hard to find it. Of course, when I was living in PA, I didn't have much taste in food myself. I was probably one of the pickiest eaters alive. It wasn't till I moved to DC that I really started to branch out.
HA! And you live in DC (I do, too). Once you're out of the general radius of an urban area it gets so much worse!

I actually live in Erie and a lot of people really are like that. It's irritating sometimes.
